Background: 

A sixth-generation native of Jackson, GA, Mr. Jones founded JP Capital & Insurance in 2004 with the purpose of serving as the risk management advisor for the parent company, Jones Petroleum. Mr. Jones quickly saw the opportunity for expansion into the retail insurance brokerage market. Through hard work and dedication, Mr. Jones has built the start-up agency into an established insurance brokerage house founded on professionalism and client service. 

Before his career in insurance, Mr. Jones was a student-athlete at the University of Georgia. Mr. Jones was a four-year letterman for the University of Georgia Football team. A former walk-on, Mr. Jones was voted a Permanent Team Captain on the 2002 SEC Championship Team. His contributions to the team helped bring UGA their first SEC Championship in 20 years.

Mr. Jones is married to the former Miss Janice L. Boswell of Griffin, GA. They have two children, one daughter, Stella Owen Jones and one son, William Banks Jones. Burt enjoys water skiing, fishing, hunting, and attending sporting events with his family.

Miss Natalie Jones is a sixth-generation native of Jackson, GA, and she currently resides in Butts County. Natalie oversees the day-to-day operations of large client relationships pertaining to the wholesale, retail, and property management industries. Natalie also focuses on the development of new client relationships and the strategic growth of the agency. Her legal background is a vital resource to our firm regarding carrier contracts and agency acquisitions.

Natalie is an avid Auburn football fan and enjoys entertaining family and friends, decorating, and aerobics. Her outgoing personality and can-do attitude uplifts everyone around her.

Background: 

A native of Loganville, GA, Mr. Thomas has been active in the insurance industry since 2006. He has provided risk management and property-casualty insurance brokerage services in both the commercial & private client space. Mr. Thomas has experience in a wide range of industries and remains committed to protecting his clients’ assets and effectively managing their risk.

Mr. Thomas was a two-time letterman with the University of Georgia Football Team and a member of the 2002 SEC Championship Team. A former walk-on, Mr. Thomas started at Fullback for the Bulldogs for two years and was the recipient of the Georgia Football Senior Scholar Award. Mr. Thomas also served in a player development role with UGA Football from 2016-2018. He was a part of another SEC Championship Team in that capacity and has been a part of ten bowl games throughout his career. Mr. Thomas resides in Athens, GA, with his wife Sarah and their dog Penny.

Background: 

Courtney began her insurance career in 2012 with Nationwide Insurance and obtained her CLCS designation in 2015. She left insurance to teach 2nd grade in Butts County for a few years and decided that she couldn't stay away from insurance. She joined JP Capital & Insurance in March 2023 to service our Commercial accounts. Courtney lives in Forsyth with her husband, a high school teacher at JHS, and two daughters. She enjoys trying new recipes, spending time in the mountains, and playing trivia with her family.

A native of Lamar County Ga, Theresa began her insurance career in 2008 & specializes in personal lines risk management. Theresa utilizes her extensive experience and knowledge of the insurance industry to service her clients insurance needs. Her core values include honesty and integrity and she takes great pride in representing clients. Theresa’s goal is to build long lasting relationships with her customers. 

Theresa is married to Marcus Snead. She has two children, Dylan and Kinley. Dylan and Kinley attend school at Rock Springs Christian Academy. Theresa enjoys attending her children’s sporting events, spending time with family, shopping, and being outdoors.

Background:

Callie graduated with degrees in both Accounting and Finance from Florida State University in 2009. After marrying her husband Myles shortly after graduation, she moved to Georgia where she began her professional career in the accounting department at one of the largest insurance carriers in the state. She accumulated 5 years of experience with running financial statements, providing management with reports and analysis, and managing various accounting activities before switching to agency accounting in 2015. Callie’s experience has left her well-versed in both statutory accounting and GAAP accounting and enables her to assist the agency with making sound financial decisions.

Callie is a native of Tallahassee, FL but has embraced life in Georgia and now considers it home. She and her husband Myles live near Athens with their two small children, Harris and Kendall.
